Wow! What a whirlwind I have had in running in 2019!

I arrived at Cape Fear Ferry on Friday with Spencer around 12:30. As we waited with excitement I really was happy with the weather being 65 degrees and hardly any wind.

Racing the Umstead 100 this year I had two goals.

I started ultra running less than 7 years ago.  I have learned through trial and error many things.  One of those, “things”, are shoes.  

Less than 4 weeks after the 200.6 mile race in Tahoe,  I flew out toArkansas into Little Rock.

The Tahoe 200 Endurance Run was one that I had on my, “Bucket List”.

The, ” Styr Labs Badwater135″in Death Valley is said to be the hardest foot race in the world.

I was recently featured in Ultra Running Magazine with an article written by my husband, Spencer Markle.

Filling out the application I was so excited this time in January has finally come!  I had met the director, “Chris Kostman”, three years ago at the Florida Keys 100 mile race.
